Whether you’re buying clothes, groceries, books, the latest technology or indeed anything else that Amazon sells, your order could help to end family violence, sexual assault, and human trafficking, and foster hope and healing. Amazon Smile is an initiative by Amazon that lets you donate a percentage of your purchase to a charitable cause – and now you can select Family Sunshine Center as your chosen charity!
How does Amazon Smile work?
When you sign up to shop through Amazon Smile, you select the charity which will receive the donation. Amazon will then donate 0.5% of the purchase price for eligible purchases to that charity at no extra cost to you. It may seem like a small percentage, but it soon adds up if lots of our supporters get involved!
Amazon Smile is the same as the Amazon you already use – the same products, prices and service. All you need to do is make the switch from shopping via amazon.com and shop at smile.amazon.com. Amazon Smile can also be activated on the Amazon shopping app for your cell phone when you need to shop on the go.
In fact, when you’ve signed up to Amazon Smile and you are logged in to your usual Amazon account, you will receive a prompt onscreen asking if you wish to switch to Amazon Smile.
Not every product will be eligible for Amazon Smile, so keep an eye out on the product pages for your favorite items to see if it has a message that says: “Eligible for AmazonSmile donation”.
How can I sign up for Amazon Smile?
Signing up for Amazon Smile is easy. All you need to do is go to smile.amazon.com and follow the instructions. You will need an existing Amazon account to sign up for Amazon Smile. When registering for Amazon Smile, you will be asked to choose the charitable organization you wish for the donations to go to. To find us, search for Family Sunshine Center. You will need to do this before shopping, as you cannot claim Amazon Smile donations on previous orders.
Are you already signed up for Amazon Smile and have chosen another charity? If you wish to change to Family Sunshine Center, you can log in to your Amazon Smile account and change the charity at any time. Any future orders you make will then have the percentage donated to us.
