It is no secret to anyone how much we value our volunteers. Volunteers are essential to our work and play an important role in helping us fulfill our mission. Each year, we benefit from the support of hundreds of committed individuals who collectively give thousands of hours to improve the lives of those impacted by violence.
Our volunteers do everything from organizing and running events, to answering hotline calls, to providing daycare, to sitting on our board, to running programs for our clients and their families. The work of our volunteers is never-ending and always necessary. In 2022, our volunteers provided 9,195 hours of service for a value of $275,387.
Volunteering may be priceless, but it isn’t free. The value that volunteers bring to FSC often makes the difference between whether or not we can provide vital programs and services.
This year, Volunteer Appreciation Week is April 17 – 23, and we would like to take this time to celebrate and appreciate the dedication, selflessness, and commitment of our volunteers.
Volunteers bring a unique perspective and set of skills to our organization that often cannot be found elsewhere. They are an invaluable asset to the FSC team, and we are deeply appreciative of their contributions.
We are immensely grateful for their hard work and dedication. We look forward to celebrating the invaluable contributions of our volunteers during Volunteer Appreciation Week 2023 and beyond.
