Healthy Parenting & COVID-19

Parenting in the age of COVID-19 is NOT easy. The pandemic has caused high unemployment, widespread social isolation, and created widespread uncertainty and even panic. To slow the spread of the virus, many school systems have gone to virtual classes this fall. This can add stress to family members who find themselves without childcare or struggle to work remotely while educating their child. This has made the COVID pandemic a “perfect storm” for abuse even in families where it did not exist before.

Developed by the Centers for Disease Control, End Violence for Children and other partners, COVID-19 Parenting: When We Get Angry is a helpful tool to help stop abuse before it starts.
