Thanksgiving holidays should be a time for family, food, and love…but for those dealing with the after effects of violence this is not always possible. The average cost of a Thanksgiving meal with all of the trimming is $50; which can make a significant impact on a food budget. Many have to balance providing their families with a fond childhood memory of a big turkey dinner with all the trimmings with concerns of “blowing” an entire food budget on a holiday meal.
This is where you can help. We are asking your family, your business, or your community group to donate gift cards so that our clients can then purchase the items for their meal.
How does it work:
- Sign up here and let us know how many families you want to support.
- Drop off or mail your card donations to our offices by November 8, 2021. Thanksgiving card donations can be either dropped off at our Administrative offices at 858 S. Court Street in Montgomery or mailed to Attn: Thanksgiving Dinner Drive, P.O. Box 5160, Montgomery, AL 36103.
- Enjoy a Happy Thanksgiving knowing that you have made the day more special for one of our clients.
