Everyone deserves to have a safe place to sleep, eat, and live. Family Sunshine Center provides emergency safe shelter and transitional housing facilities for individuals fleeing violence. All residents receive comprehensive services to best meet their needs and increase their chances of successfully overcoming the trauma and impacts of violence.
Our residential services include emergency shelter and transitional housing facilities, including The Exodus Community, a facility designed to house survivors in a more independent manner while they work towards self-sufficiency. Residential clients have access to a wide array of supportive and follow-up services designed to address immediate concerns for safety and security, as well as, long term needs necessary to empower victims to achieve self-sufficiency and establish violence-free homes. We provide:
Emergency Shelter: FSC provides a safe space for adults and children who are fleeing from violence related to domestic abuse, sexual assault, and/or human trafficking.
Transitional Housing: Our temporary, secure housing supports victims as they recover from trauma and prepare to transition back into the community.
Rapid Rehousing: FSC’s housing intervention program includes immediate placement in permanent housing for those without ongoing safety concerns.
