We offer hope and healing to those traumatized through domestic violence, sexual assault, and/or human trafficking. Our multidisciplinary team of licensed therapists is here to empower you on your journey. We offer a variety of services to meet the needs of victims, including:
Individual and Group Counseling: FSC provides ongoing support and counseling services during your recovery from violence or abuse. Our confidential counseling services help survivors process trauma, increase healthy coping strategies, and create support systems.
Advocacy: FSC’s advocates provide emotional support, safety planning, court accompaniment, and inform you of all the processes, options, and available resources.
Legal Services: FSC’s staff attorney can provide current clients with representation in a variety of civil matters including custody, child support, divorce, public benefits, protection from abuse and other matters stemming from or caused by the victimization incurred. Navigating the legal system can be intimidating, you don’t have to go alone.
Children’s Services: FSC’s licensed children’s therapists provide trauma-focused counseling to children ages 3 to 18 in our counseling offices and school-based programs throughout the River Region. The CARES (Children Advancing Through Recovery and Empowerment Services) Project provides counseling proven to effectively address symptoms of PTSD, depression, anxiety, sexualized behaviors, and feelings of shame and mistrust often displayed in children exposed to trauma.
