Our first priority here at Family Sunshine Center is the health and safety of our clients and staff. We recognize that while home quarantine measures may protect us from spreading COVID-19, for some, being confined to home may pose a risk of violence. For this reason, we are keeping our Crisis Intervention Services open. Following recommendations from the CDC, ADPH and Governor Kay Ivey, most of our staff will be working remotely through April 6 to carry on business and support the staff members who will be working crisis line and shelter operations. We are sad that we have had to cancel volunteer opportunities, including the Volunteer Awards, but promise to reschedule as soon as possible. Ranch Roundup is also cancelled but continue reading for rescheduling information.
Ranch Roundup Update
All spring events at Hampstead Farms are cancelled, including our Ranch Roundup. We have tentatively rescheduled the event to September 17. Hopefully we will all be out from under the specter of this pandemic by then. As this is our major annual fundraiser, delaying the event puts us behind in fundraising just when our clients need us the most. During this pandemic, home is not a safe haven for many. Please help us keep the phones up and the doors open by donating today.
