During the month of May, the FSC was the blessed beneficiary of a pair of Montgomery-based events: the 10th Annual River Bend BrewFest and a Grill & Chill event at Harley Davidson Montgomery.
The BrewFest takes place in the beautiful train station in downtown Montgomery. This event brings together breweries from across the region who provide tastings of a large selection of craft, specialty, and seasonal brews. In addition, music by John Bull Band and food trucks were available.
Harley Davidson Montgomery hosts a monthly Grill & Chill event to benefit local charities. In May, they selected FSC as their recipient and volunteers and members of FSC’s Change Champions group served out the delicious barbecue.
Like the Beatles said … “We get by with a little help from our friends.” And the friends of the Family Sunshine Center showed up and showed out and thanks to their support of these events, the FSC is better able to serve its clients.
“Events like these benefit FSC in multiple ways” said Griffin Pritchard, FSC’s Public Affairs Coordinator. “The financial donations helps us to continue providing our programs and services. But the opportunity to introduce FSC, our mission, and services to community members who are unfamiliar with us is priceless.
